"Sous Vide" is French for "under vacuum". It describes a preparation method in which the food is placed in sealed vacuum bags and cooked in a water bath. The food is cooked at a constant low temperature over a long period of time and kept juicy and tasteful. As the vacuum bag is sealed, the food cooks together with the marinades or spices added by them in its own juice. Vitamins, minerals and juices are preserved, and the taste of the food is enhanced.
With this cooking method from the gourmet gastronomy, meat, fish or vegetables are prepared particularly gently in a vacuum bag - for a pure taste experience. Valuable vitamins, nutrients and ingredients are largely preserved and the addition of fat can be completely omitted.
